Your customers are given access to TermSync through email notifications powered by TermSync. The weekly payment reminder notification is the most common access point for customers.
Below is an example of how the customer enters into their customer portal from the weekly payment reminder notification. Additionally, this tutorial covers the following available actions your customer can take advantage of when logged into their customer portal:
- Request or Download Invoice PDF
- Schedule Online Payment
- Make Lump-Sum Payment
- Sign-Up for AutoPay
- Send You (Vendor) a Message
- Reschedule Pay Dates
- Download Past Account Statements
Please Note: This is not an exhausted list of available actions, and the list of actions will depend on your account settings.
Login from Payment Reminder
Your customer can click on View Your Full Account Statement (red button in the email below) to log into their online account statement.
If your customer clicks on View Your Full Account Statement, they are asked to re-enter the email address they received this notification at and click Login.
*If your customer is unable to successfully login, please confirm they are entering the email address that you have listed for them in TermSync. If you update their email address in TermSync, it is recommended you send them a new link to their account statement.
Account Statement
Once your customer has logged in, they will land in their online Account Statement.
The Summary section provides your customer with a list of actions such as reviewing their open and available transactions, scheduling online payment, signing up for AutoPay, sending you a message, and downloading their account statement.
Next, we'll dive into each of these available customer actions. Please note you can review this in TermSync by navigating to any customer's Invoices tab, clicking on Account Statement, and then click on View as Payer.
Request or Download Invoice PDF
Before your customer jumps into their Available Actions, they can easily download the invoice PDF by clicking View. If the PDF is not in TermSync, they will see the option to request a copy.
Schedule a Payment
If your customer has logged into their account statement to schedule an online payment, they are able to do this by checking the transactions they'd like to pay, and then clicking on Schedule Payment.
Once they click Schedule Payment, they are redirected to the customer payment portal. Here they will enter their bank account/credit card information and agree to the payment terms listed under the Payment Method and Payment Summary sections.
Make Lump-Sum Payment
If your customer has logged into their account statement to make a lump-sum payment, they are able to do this by clicking on Make Lump-Sum Payment.
A pop-up will appear asking for the amount they want to pay towards their oldest invoice first.
Then they will be redirected to enter their bank account information/credit card information and agree to the payment terms listed, mirroring the process to schedule an online payment.
Please Note: The system will automatically treat the payment like a short-pay if the lump-sum amount is less than the total amount of the invoice being paid automatically based on the age of the transactions.
Sign up for AutoPay
If your customer has logged into their account statement to sign-up for AutoPay, they are able to do this by clicking on Sign-up for AutoPay.
From here, they will enter their bank account/credit card information, mirroring the process to schedule an online payment.
The customer can always edit or cancel AutoPay. Click here for instructions on how your customer can edit or cancel their AutoPay subscription in TermSync.
Please Note: The cancellation of AutoPay is immediate.
Send You (Vendor) a Message
Just like when you send the customer a message through TermSync, your customer is able to send you a message from their customer portal.
Reschedule Pay Dates
If your customer has scheduled payments in TermSync, they can update the scheduled pay dates to the date of their choice.
Download Account Statement (PDF)
Your customer is always able to download their past and current account statements from their customer portal.
See below to download the PDF version of this tutorial.
